The setting could not have been any more beautiful. Indigo Farm was the place, Shacklehands played the music, and the food was simply amazing- wood fired pizza, lush leafy salads, and delicious sangria!The cause was the South Kingstown Community Garden at Broadrock Middle School, and the inspiration for our garden's future was all there; great people talking about growing and eating whole delicious foods, younger and older sharing and laughing, hopes for canning and preserving- all the things the community garden will foster in the years to come. Of course, the sun was the guest of honor.
