Karen Lee Ziner's recent article on this election cycle specifically mentions Teresa Tanzi's recent Two Wheels for Tanzi event as an example of grassroots campaigning!
Knocking on doors and neighborhood blitzes are ever popular this year, and the environmentally conscious approach is catching on. One candidate recently held a bike-path rally “with bells and whistles and pinwheels”; talked to bus riders about public transportation, and sent hand-written post cards, a personal touch that glossy, mass-produced cards and brochures cannot match.
