How Do I Register to Vote?

You can visit the Secretary of State's website and fill out the form online, or print it out and mail it in. 


Where do I get a mail ballot?

The deadline for a mail ballot application is Tuesday, October 18th. If you would like one for the November 8th Election, you can visit the Secretary of State's website to print out a mail ballot application. You will fill it out and mail or drop off at the local board of canvassers in Town Hall. (South Kingstown or Narragansett Town Hall.) Then your mail ballot will be sent to you. Fill it out and send it in, the address is on the ballot. Remember, you no longer need a reason to vote by mail, anyone can do it!


Can I vote early?

Yes!


If you are going to be out of town, or unable to vote on Election Day (November 8th) you can visit your local Board of Canvassers at your Town Hall and ask for an emergency/Early ballot between the hours of 8:30am-4:30 pm through November 7th.

Since polling places have changed again, it is imperative that every voter check their polling location by entering your specific address at the RI Secretary of State's Voter Information
